lyrics

Standing tall like a statue in the rain,
I carry on through times of sorrow.
A mid summer storm and in the middle I remain,
The sunny days may come tomorrow.
The clouds above can't stay forever.
Directions change.

Somewhere off in the distance,
I know a blue bird sings
Under the skies we knew so full and blue with purpose.
In the morning I will spread my wings.

In the winter I can hibernate inside,
Losing touch with all my friends.
It's hard to walk and talk when the leaves and trees have died,
From this cold I will transcend.
Summer's just around the bend.
Directions change.

Somewhere off in the distance,
I know a blue bird sings.
Under the skies we knew so full and blue with purpose,
In the morning I will spread my wings.
